In his benevolence toward developing countries, Bill Gates has announced he's donating $20 billion to his own foundation to help the foundation build on its philanthropy of improving education, reducing poverty and reinstating the global progress toward ending preventable disease and achieving gender equality.
However, in a webinar on the global food crisis, Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman explained that one of the Foundation's main goals is to further the growth of the agricultural industry with the tools and "science" they already have.
For Gates, those tools and science have long focused on genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that are designed to withstand droughts, pesticides and herbicides. Some are gene edited to include certain vitamins, as well.
